My first day as a dog mom

Does anyone really every intend to get a dog?  Like, do people actually wake up and think to themselves "I'm going to get a dog today!"?

Let me tell you, that did not happen with me!

I've always known I wanted to get a dog eventually, but there was never any timeline attached to it.  I grew up with dogs so it was a no brainer to me, but again, I had no clue of how or when.

Then one day my best friend asked me to pick him up at the mall.  When I got there he asked me to come into the pet store because he wanted to show me something.  I really didn't think anything of it, he has done this before.

Unbeknownst to me he had made arrangements with the staff for a puppy to be brought out when I came into the store.  Again, not really thinking that anything was up, of course I had to snuggle and hold the puppy!

Hello?  3 pounds of fluff?  And I can hold him?  Who wouldn't?

As soon as the fluff ball was put in my hands I FELL HARD!!!
